Cookies
This website uses cookies. Cookies are text files which are placed and stored on a computer system via a web browser. Cookies enable websites and servers to distinguish the individual browsers of data subjects from other browsers.

By using cookies, A. + E. Keller is able to improve the user-friendliness of this website and provide services which you would not be able to provide without cookies. The user of the website which uses cookies does not, for example, have to enter his or her access data every time they visit the website as these data are taken from the website and the cookies stored on the user’s computer system.

The settings of web browsers can be changed to prevent cookies being set by any websites. Cookies which have already been set can be erased again. This is possible in all standard web browsers. In some cases the functions on the website may be restricted as a result.

Purpose of data collection and possible transfer of data

We only collect personal data if you provide them to us when making an inquiry, for example. Data are entered in the areas as follows:

In contact forms
The contact form can be used to send inquiries to us directly. The website also includes information which we are required to provide by law (e.g., in the imprint) which enables you to make contact with us quickly by electronic means (e.g., via e-mail address). If someone makes contact by e-mail or by using a contact form, the data transferred by that person is stored automatically. Data transferred for the purpose of making contact are stored in order to handle inquiries from or make contact with the data subject. Unless this is necessary for handling purposes, these personal data are not passed on to third parties outside the Group companies.

Via our own e-mail service
As well as the contact information in, for example, the imprint, the e-mail address and telephone numbers of specific departments are also provided on our website. In this way we want to enable you to make contact with our company quickly and simply. Most e-mails will be sent to general mailboxes. You should therefore be aware that any messages you send may be seen by several different people.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Irland. Google Analytics uses “cookies”; these are text files which are stored on your computer to analyze the way you use the website. The information about the way you use this website created by the cookie is usually sent to and stored on a Google server in the USA. If the IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will first truncate your IP address in Member States of the European Union or in other state parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Only in exceptional circumstances will the full IP address be sent to and truncated on a Google server in the USA. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator to evaluate the way you use the website, to collate reports on website activities, and to provide the website operator other services related to website and Internet use. The IP address sent by Google Analytics from your browser is not combined with other data held by Google.

You can change your browser settings to prevent cookies from being stored; however, we draw your attention to the fact that, in these circumstances, you may find that you are unable to make full use of functions on the website. You can also prevent Google from collecting or processing the data generated by cookies and relating to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available via the following link: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

More information is available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en or at https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en (general information on Google Analytics and data protection). We draw your attention to the fact that Google Analytics is supplemented by the code “gat._anonymizeIp();” on this website to guarantee the anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP-masking).

Google Maps API

We use “Google Maps” on our website. Google Maps is a service from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Irland. Google collects data relating to the way the map functions in Google Maps are used by visitors to the website. These data may be processed in the USA. More information about the processing of data by Google is available in the Google data privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en and the additional terms of use for Google Maps at https://www.google.com/intl/en_de/help/terms_maps.html

Social plug-ins

Social plug-ins are used on our websites. You can recognize the plug-ins of each provider by their logos. If you visit a website with such a plug-in, the operator of the service is informed of the webpages you visit. The processed data can be used to create user profiles. We therefore have no influence on the scope of the data collected by an activated plug-in and how they are used by the provider. Service providers may also attempt to store cookies on the computer being used.

If are logged in with your account, the provider can also assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your account in advance and, where applicable, deleting any cookies which may have been set.

We also prevent the involuntary and unintended collection and transmission of data to the service providers by using a 2-click solution. To enable a desired social plug-in, it must first be activated by clicking the corresponding button. Only once the plug-in has been activated is information collected and sent to the service provider. We do not collect any personal data ourselves using the social plug-ins or via the use made of them.

To find out what specific data is collected and how it is used, please read the data privacy policies of the relevant providers.

We use the following plug-ins on our website:

If we obtain your consent to specific processing operations their lawfulness is based on Art. 6 (I) a) GDPR. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract, e.g. for the delivery of goods, or to take steps prior to entering into a contract, e.g. for inquiries, the lawfulness of such processing is based on Art. 6 (I) b) GDPR. If our company is subject to a legal obligation which makes it necessary to process personal data, such as for the purpose of meeting tax obligations, such processing is based on Art. 6 (I) c) GDPR. If the processing of personal data is not based on any of the lawful grounds referred to above, we only process data for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by our company (improving the performance of our business activities). We consistently ensure that such processing does not impair the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection and which override our legitimate interests.

Duration of storage of personal data

The storage period for personal data is based on the statutory retention periods. If the purpose for which the data have been recorded no longer applies, the data are erased as soon as this period expires.
